Description: Vintage / Antique molded glass beads made in Bohemia better known as the Czech Republic specifically for being traded into Africa in the 1920s-1950's. Among the Fulani women of Mali these trade beads were used during weddings being presented to the bride, hence the name evolved wedding beads. Largest bead of the set measures 33.14mm long by 20.50mm wide and 5.56mm thick. These beads are worn everyday by some African women and traditionally on their wedding day. This bead set is in great overall condition with some surface wear. Perfect for jewelry making or adding to your African trade bead collection.
