Description: Antique Colonial Ship Painting signed J.H. Jolliffe & dated 1849 in 19th century Birdseye Huon Pine Frame. Research by the previous owner was the ship was the SS Fortitude on one of it's trips bringing migrants to Australia on behalf of Reverend Doctor John Dunmore. Watercolour has nice bright pigments with a few foxing marks. Total size included frame 455mm by 360mm. Ex Peter Walker Fine Art, Walkerville South Australia.
