Antique 19th C. c1850 Dr. Chilton's Fever & Ague Cure Pill Box by Comstock & Brother, New York Click images to enlarge Description Up for Consideration is a Scarce Antique 19th Century Era c.1850 Dr. Chilton's Fever and Ague Cure Pill Box manufactured by Comstock & Brother - New York ca. 1850 Very Rare 1850 Dr. Chilton's Fever and Ague Cure Pill Box, manufactured by Comstock & Brother, New York - Price One Dollar per Box. Measures 1 1/2 Inches across center by 5/8 inches in legnth. The labeled pill boxes are made of turned birch wood, each containing a complement of the original pills which are completely harmless. Condition is Excelent Comstock & Brother Edwin Comstock of NYC began making medicines about 1831. He was joined by his brother, Lucius, who was employed as a clerk and referred to himself as an M.D. and Counselor at Law. Lucius claimed the rights to all Comstock medicines in 1851, after Edwin dies Lucius carried on the business under the name Comstock and Co. The company was called Comstock and Brothers until 1850.
