Description: FROM MADEIRA WITH LOVE...! A most recent estate find on the island of Madeira, Portugal, that of a family with ties to Germany. Antique porcelain match box caddy / holder in a pattern made famous by the Meissen factory called "Blue Onion". There are no maker`s marks to identify its exact origins. Numerous factories produced wares in variations of this iconic Meissen pattern so unmarked pieces are difficult to identify. It is approximately 6 inches in diameter and stands 4 inches tall. It has survived prior use free of chips, cracks, wear or crazing. I inserted a standard size playing card in one photo as a reference for size. MUCH OBLIGED
