Description: This Cabinet Card: (Stock # 37) Description: Vignetted family group with two girls. <1/2 length figures, in horizontal cropping. Rare grouping for a Cabinet. Subject identified: no Card Back: blank Studio: Wilkinson Location: East Palestine, O. Condition: v. good but slightly faded. NOTE: 100-150-year-old Cabinet photographs may be lightly scuffed or faded due to age. Please judge the actual condition from the attached photo before bidding. Standard Victorian Cabinet card mounts are 16.5 x 10.7 cm approx. (6-1/2" x 4-1/4") Cabinet style portrait cards became very popular in the later 1860’s, 1870’s, 1880’s and 1890’s and waned by the 20th C. The card stock was thicker than CDVs and by the 1880’s, the edges were often bevelled or colored gold or silver.
