FUN FACT: DC Comics acquired the character Shazam AKA Captain Marvel in a lawsuit against Fawcett Comics claiming the hero was too similar to Superman. The name 'Captain Marvel' was later legally purchased by Marvel Comics so DC had to forfeit the rights to promote the character with his original name. DC dealt with it and ditched the Marvel name and stuck with Shazam as the permanent name of the hero. It's a crazy and fun history to look into!
