Description: Antique/vintage trappers backpack basket. Basket is in very good condition for its age. NOT broken or busted anywhere. Complete with original adjustable canvas shoulder straps. Straps and buckles are in great condition. Straps do have some staining on them but are NOT frayed or worn significantly. Listed as "custom" as at some point in its life a previous owner riveted an aluminum sheet metal bottom inside. I can only presume this was done to catch small items from falling out the woven corners of the basket. Whoever did it, did a good job as the bottom is firmly in place, looks good, and did not damage the wood basket when installing it. Metal is made of aluminum so it is lightweight and does not add much in overall weight to the basket. Basket measures 20" tall and the opening is approximately 14" x 12" wide.
