Description: Thinning out my 30+ year collection of great Baltimore Maryland and Carroll County soda, beer and whiskey bottles. Any references to a # are from the 2019 edition of Baltimore’s Pre-Prohibition Breweries & Bottles (also available on ebay).https://www.ebay.com/itm/204786885849 Please look at the pictures carefully. I can provide additional pictures upon request. Offered for sale is #40 a hand blown Baltimore Branch bottle from the King of Beers in St. Louis Missouri. Anheuser Busch never had a brewery in Baltimore. The brewery in St. Louis would send kegs to Baltimore's Camden Yards and then a short beer wagon ride to Von Mitzel's, a local bottling house where the beer would have been siphoned from the keg and bottled.#45, This hand blown amber bottle with a tooled crown is listed as Rare. This is a wet privy dug bottle and retains quite a bit of patina from the ground water leaching the glass. The embossing is strong and without case wear. Personally I would leave it like it is but a $20 tumble would make it sparkle. There is no manufacturer mark to communicate which glass house produced this bottle. This is the only Baltimore Branch bottle that mentions St. Louis, Mo.Slug plate embossed as:ANHEUSER BUSCH BREWING ASS'N TRADE (eagle motif) MARKST. LOUIS, MOBALTIMORE BRANCH
