Description: Up for auction is a set of Gillinder or Adams EAPG 1776-1876 Centennial pieces. Included are 3 spooners and a lidded butter dish. All are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. They read 1776-1876 Declaration of Independence with the liberty bell on one side while the other reads 100 Years Ago in raised stipple lettering. This set was manufactured to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. It was manufactured at a factory temporarily erected at the Philadelphia Exhibition of 1876. The glass set was sold as a souvenir at the Exhibition. The pattern was designed by James C. Gill and patented under patent no. 8663 on September 28, 1875. Feel free to email me with any questions and thanks for looking.
