38" Hand Knotted Leather African Trade Bead Necklace, Bohemian Necklace or Wrap

Description: This 38" necklace or wrap bracelet was made with 23 rare and beautiful vintage and antique Venetian Millefiori African Trade Beads in different patterns; vintage/antique red, lavender, orange, and green "White Heart" African Trade beads, cobalt blue glass beads, sterling silver disc beads, a fine silver imprinted Hill Tribe bead, sterling silver Bali beads, sterling silver charms, and teal colored leather cord. Sterling silver charms include a prayer box with flowers and doves (which opens), a plumeria charm, a peace sign charm, a butterfly charm, a dragonfly charm, Saint Francis of Assisi charm, a scrolled heart charm, a wisteria flower charm, a hummingbird charm, and an elephant head charm. All charms are sterling silver. Some of the charms are two sided, and some are one-sided. This necklace measures approximately 38" in circumference and hangs down 19" from the back of the neck. This necklace can be worn a variety of ways, as shown in the pictures, and it can easily be doubled. It can also be worn as a wrap bracelet and can go around the wrist comfortably about five times, depending upon your wrist size. The process of making the Millefiori African Trade beads is extensive and labor intensive. "Millefiori" in Italian means "a thousand flowers." If you know about African Trade Beads, you know that finding beads that match is very difficult these days. These beads are likely over 100 years old and yet in wonderful condition. However, please expect to see minor chipping here and there at or near the end of a bead or two. This is common due to their age and doesn't detract from their beauty and attests to their authenticity. I don't, however, use beads with what I consider to be major chipping.
