Description: Brady (443) 269-7382 12205 Hall Shop Rd Clarksville Maryland 21029 Message OUR UNIQUE PROCEDURE FROM PURCHASE TO SALE: Step 1: (THE BUY)We search the entire United States looking for quality inventory to keep up with our demand. Most of our inventory comes from fleets, fleet management companies, municipalities, state owned inventory etc. and purchased through auction or a sealed bid. This is a time consuming process - from the initial buy, lining up payment, facilitating transportation it is a full time job. Step 2: (THE FIRST LOOK AND RECONDITIONING PROCESS)Steps 2 & 3 are the most important and where I think we differentiate ourselves from others. When the truck gets in from wherever it came from, it gets a first look and initial evaluation (usually by whomever bought it). In this evaluation we ask ourselves (what does it need?) this usually includes minor paintwork, mechanical work, detailing etc. After this stage it goes directly to our mechanic who runs down the list of a DOT inspection and gives us a list of what it needs. The check includes the standard DOT check and then some such as lights, brakes, tires, steering components, major/minor leaks but also overall mechanical condition and items that may not be on a DOT inspection checklist. Some lists are small, some are long, but none the less the work gets completed until we are satisfied with our product. We are completely transparent here and would be happy to show an interested buyer what work was completed on the truck. Once the mechanical work has been completed it goes off into the next step of reconditioning which may be the body shop or detail. We do not buy any major wrecks or salvage vehicles so our body work is very limited to painting a utility box due to scratches, a minor rust spot, or a few minor dents etc. Step 3: (THE TEST DRIVE & DETAIL) Once all work has been completed mechanically and cosmetically, we are lucky enough to have a semi-retired CDL driver do test drives for us. This test drive includes (but not limited to) a 1+ hour, 40+ mile highway/city test to ensure the truck is ready to be sold. This test drive is where any kinks get worked out and to ensure all mechanical work has been completed correctly. As the driver is on his test drive he notes any minor issues (if any) and reports back with how it drove. If you would like to speak to the driver directly, we can put you into contact with him to get his opinion on the truck. Once it gets his blessing, it goes to detail (if it wasn't detailed already) to be shined up. The detailing process typically takes 2 full days and includes an interior and exterior wash. Our detailer has been in this line of work for over 20 years and knows how to make a truck shine! Step 4: (THE SALE)After all of this, the truck is finally ready to sell. At this time the truck gets placed on "the pad" and is ready for 100+ pictures and a several minute long video. At this point the truck has been looked over by several people, mechanically checked, driven over an hour, cleaned and is a product we can stand behind and put our name on. This process is what makes us who we are, and allows us to be confident in the trucks we sell. A nicely running older Maintainer pre-emissions service truck that starts right up, operates nicely, and shows great! Nice looking truck with an affordable price tag! Well optioned truck with a large capacity body & loaded up with a nice body, tool drawers, & 6000LB Maintainer crane!! The Mercedes Benz 6.4L turbo diesel engine starts up and sounds great. The truck has an Eaton Fuller 6 speed syncronized manual transmission that shifts properly and as it should, clutch feels strong. It has a very nice large Maintainer utility body that is in great condition overall and shows well. It is equipped with a Maintainer 3220 6000LB hydraulic crane. The crane is in good working condition and functions 100% via wired controller. The crane functions as it should with no known issues. It has a 20' reach with hydraulic & manual extensions. The crane operates like a very low use crane and it shows extremely well. We do not believe the crane has many hours on it. The truck has hydraulic outriggers and the curb side extends. The curb side outrigger was seized when it came in but was fixed by cutting and rewelding. Both outriggers function as they should. The truck is equipped with a hydraulic air compressor. The air compressor is nicely plumbed in with an air hose reel. This truck is in overall great condition and shows very well. The box and exterior of the truck appear to be in overall nice shape with only minor dings and dents present. It has a nice enclosure setup between the boxes to allow for a work station / tool storage that is out of the weather. The interior is in good condition and shows average wear. Being an older Sterling, a few interior panels are loose and you will find a few previous interior repairs. It has an air drivers seat. The frame/underside of the truck is in great condition and showing only light surface rust showing in some areas. Not a ton of rust on the truck for the year but it does have some surface rust. The truck has good rubber all the way around with decent tread remaining. This will make someone a great service truck with a lot of capability. Well maintained and serviced by the previous owner! Note this is a used truck with plenty of miles so wear & tear, surface rust, minor cosmetic damage should ALL be expected. Overall in great condition for the year and mileage. Please view all pictures and attached video for an accurate representation of the truck. We are located in Clarksville, MD 21029.
