Description: Lovely white Type I Libertad (1982-1991). The investor-collector base for Mexican Libertads continues to expand. The aesthetic appeal, low mintages, and intrinsic value attract new aficionados. All Type I Libertads in MS67 and MS68 will likely increase in value over time. These earlier dates were struck before the Libertad's popularity gained traction for collectors. MS68 coins are scarce, and MS69 specimens are non-existent for most Type I dates. When they do appear, the price is through the roof. Therefore, this MS67 coin becomes an affordable option for the Libertad collector. A scape to the left of "1 onza" probably cost a MS68 grade for this coin. See the photos. This coin was in my Registry set before I upgraded to a pricey MS68. Please ignore any photo shading. This coin is brilliant and white. No toning.
