Description: ***NEAT METAL HOCKEY SKATE BOTTLE OPENER**THRIFT SHOP FIND**Here is a neat item! Not an expert but did some research on this. It is a Scott Products Inc metal hockey skate beer bottle opener. Copyrighted back in 1968 but made into the 1970s. Measures about 5" long, fairly heavy, nicely made. These were pretty popular back in the late 1960s/early 1970s. Most teams had them, some are pretty rare. This is one of the scarce ones. It is the Dark Green/Yellow Gold skate. Since there are no stickers on the sides, I believe it is a representation of the early Oakland Seals skate. They had the crazy skate colors back then (see last pic-it is for reference only). Also could be used for a Minnesota North Stars skate as it has the same colors. Good vintage condition, missing the small metal plate on the bottom that you would hook the bottle cap on, some paint chipping, but still displays great!
