Description: 1964 NASCAR Darlington Southern 500 Program/Lineup, Buck Baker's Final Victory. The program and lineup are in very nice condition with no significant flaws. Numerous pictures were taken to assist with the condition and content of the program and lineup. The 15th running of the Southern 500 took place at Darlington Raceway on September 7, 1964. A crowd of 65,000 saw Richard Petty lead the 44-car field to green. Petty was the dominant car and led 252 of the first 289 laps. A faulty ignition wire caused a lengthy pit stop and eventually the race. The veteran, Buck Baker, driving the Ray Fox #3, would go on to win his third Southern 500, followed by Jim Paschal, Richard Petty, Ned Jarrett, and Jimmy Pardue. This was Buck Baker's 46th career win and final victory in the NASCAR Grand National division. Please review the other racing items I have listed.
