A completely automatic Kidde fire protection system has been installed in the car's engine compartment. Upon any abnormal temperature rise, as caused by a fore, this rate-of-temperature fire detector system will automatically actuate a 20-pound cylinder of pressurized carbon dioxide. The fire-smothering gas will pass through a series of four nozzles mounted about the engine in a volume sufficient to envelop the engine compartment. In a matter of seconds, any fire would be extinguished. Circles indicate the position of the nozzles.Photo measures 10 x 7.75inches. Photo is dated 07-03-1961.
