1950s -1960s VINTAGE 3 BUTTON SHARKSKIN SUIT JACKET BROWN 42-44 CURLEE CLOTHES

Description: Vintage 1950s to early 1960s Curlee Clothes Sharkskin type jacket, (not the kind with the velvet collar though). This jacket is completely original, not a new reproduction. Of course sharkskin jackets are NOT made from shark, they are a type of textured fabric or shiny fabric. There is a slight wear spot on the cuff, you will never see it while wearing it, and a small hole or run on the back of one arm, you really can see that either. The Jacket was made by Curlee clothes, and sold by J. L. Lanier & Co Jasper Texas. You could wear this jacket today, but I would recommend a good dry cleaning, which will bring out the dark brownish color more and the shine and texture will be a bit better. Curlee and Sharkskin jackets are a mainstay of the 1950s rockabilly era. Would look great paired with Matador boots, iridescent socks, the same color shirt,a tight pair of chinos, and some ditty bop shades. Our jacket fits like a size 42-44 but check the sizes below. Measurements: Chest, from seem to seem laid flat under armpits: 22 inches Waist from seam to seam laid flat: 21 inches. Length, from base of collar to bottom down the back: 31 inches. Length, from center of shoulder seam down the front shoulder to bottom hem: 31 inches. Shoulder to shoulder across the back: 19 inches.
