On the road they were dangerous to life and limb and so, with a difficult war on our hands, these discarded autos are trucked to a scrap iron dealers processing plant. The cars have been stripped of all useable parts and non-ferrous materials. The steel will be baled in huge hydraulic presses and sent to steel mills to feed the ever hungry furnaces now turning out new steel for the national war production program.Photo measures 8.5 x 6.5inches.
