Description: This listing is for a Wedgwood Queensware cup and saucer which was created to commemorate the visit of King George and Queen Elizabeth to the United Sates in 1939 - the first time reigning British monarchs had ever done so. Only 3000 were made and they were numbered. Note that the cup and saucer have different numbers (not sure why). The set is in very good vintage condition. It has some light crazing under the glaze which is not uncommon in Queensware. The blue on the saucer seems slightly darker to me than the blue on the cup. There is a dark spot on the top of the cup- see last photo. Please examine all photos carefully.
