The novel is divided into three sections according to Joan of Arc's development: a youth in Domremy, a commander of the army of Charles VII of France, and a defendant at trial in Rouen. Written by Samuel Langhorne Clemens, known by the pen name Mark Twain, was an American writer, humorist, and essayist. CONDITION In the original red cloth binding. Externally, smart with minor wear and damp marks to the boards. Original unclipped dust wrapper is very smart with minor sunning to the spine and light marks to the panels. Minor staining to the fly leaves from the cloth. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot and minor age toning to the endpapers.
