Description: 1920s or '30s US Government Bureau of Public Roads MOTORCYCLE Tag ?, Harley? Indian? I've been running all kinds of searches on motorcycles used by the US Department of Agriculture's Bureau of Public Roads, but I haven't found anything, let alone any information on the tag or the information on it. From what I found, the Bureau of Public Roads only existed under that name from 1915-1939. The tag is fairly thick, so my thought is that it's from the teens or '20s, but I have no idea. Under Type is stamped "MCYCLE" but I don't know what "Model 19" or "Serial No. 12" might correlate to. Was this from a Harley? An Indian? Some other brand? A really cool and unusual piece of motorcycle history. Some of the gold finish is worn off around the edges. Please look closely at the photos
