Description: 18th C Chinese Export Moulded Rouge De Fer Plate, Kangxi, Circa 1700 Description The Central scene shows a young man, accompanied by a servant , saluting what appears to be the Guan-yin who is holding a baby in her arms. The cavetto border is floral, and the rim consist of a band of crosshatching. Size Eight and 7/8 inches in diameter 1 3/8 inches high Condition Very good to excellent ! There are two visible hairlines . One is about an inch long and the other is about a half inch long in addition. Under black light , there are three restored hairlines on the back of the plate which do not show up on the front of the plate. There is the fretting of the rim wishes typical of these pieces. In addition, there is some loss to the gilding. I will discount shipping if you buy more than one piece .
