With two folding maps and a plate. Incorporating passages on Celtic names, John Rhys provides a history of Celtic Britain from the time of Julius Cesar to around 1034 A.D., with several chapters on the ethnology of Britain. This copy has 'Reference Library' stamps to the recto of the front endpaper, both the recto and verso of the title page, and the folding maps. With three pages of publisher's adverts to the rear. CONDITION In the publisher's original green cloth binding. Externally, generally smart. Bumped and a little rubbed to the head and tail of the spine, with 36 in white pen to the spine. A little rubbed to the front joint. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally clean with some very light, scattered foxing throughout.
