Description: 1871 1st EDITION Morals & Dogma Albert Pike OCCULT FREEMASONRY MASONIC LEGEND SYMBOLOGY This (along with 3 other similar books) was passed down from a family member but I don't know much more of their history than that. I do know these were treasured items. However, my family are not currently members and I feel these should have the opportunity to be enjoyed by those that can appreciate their value. From what I've been told and can't verify otherwise, this is a first edition 1871 binding. The binding is still in great condition in my opinion although the cover is a bit faded after 150+ years of shelf wear! I think it's incredible to zoom in and see the composition of the paper it's printed on. I love vintage collectors items. There is a donation inscription on the Morals and Dogma page but from what I can tell, no other writing throughout the book. If you look at the photo, one of the blank pages in the front looks like it was either sliced out, or it was a possible printing error. I think this is an incredible find and would be a great edition to a collectors library. I have three other books so be sure to look at those also. The book itself is a royal purple color. Shipping is only via priority and insured and I pack my items the way I would want to receive them, and then add a bit more packing!
