Fully functional petite sized kerosene oil lantern. Please reference Thuro book 3, page 215, figure A. This lovely little brass frame lantern with tin bottom and unusual brass finger-hold is all original, complete and correct with font, burner and early round wick, glass globe and stack breather top with chain and ring. Patent dated on the stack 'PAT'D DEC 24 1867'. Polished brass, approximately 7 1/2" tall overall. There is significant chipping on the top of the globe, completely hidden when the stack is screwed on.
