A scarce later printing on the parents and lineage of Mary Leadbeater (1758–1826), an Irish writer and historian. Part of the influential Shakleton family, Mary’s grandfather was Abraham Shackleton (1696-1771), the schoolmaster of Edmund Burke, along with distant relative and polar explorer Ernest Shackleton (1874-1922).
